Mould Cure (Hot) Retreading

CIO Tyres uses "Hot Cure" or "Mould Cure" Retreading process for retreading of all sizes of Tyres ranging from scooter tyre to the highest tyre available in the country as of date 50/80 x 57. Due to its durability, the Hot Process is mainly used for Off-the-Road use (Mines and rugged areas).

Mould Cure (Hot) Retreading

The Process

Peeling is the first stage of the process and is performed to detread the tyre and to highlight separations and rock injuries. This is vital in assessing the casings suitable fro retreading. The Tyre's old tread is mechanically removed on high speed buffers.

Buffing is done to ensure that the texture is at its optimum to allow for correct adhesion and bonding of the new rubber compound.Time is diligently spent in skiving all the rock injuries and separations to minimize the steel belt exposure. This stage is the most crucial for retreading process, to ensure that all separations are removed. Even small injuries are critical and is cleaned and filled. If this is not done, severe rust, separation & steel cable looseness could take tyre out of service. The injury should be inspected and then cleaned out with carbide Cutter.

After cementing the injury, a vulcanizing rubber stem should be applied to "fill" the injury. This is then trimmed smooth to the contour of the surface. This would create a permanent repair that maximises tyre life. Layers of Rubber Compound which are rolled out at our sister concern Bihar Rubber Factory are then built on to the casing (Proces known as Building) depending on the final size of the tyre to be achieved.

Curing : The built tyre is then loaded into a fully encased curing chamber and the rubber layers built in the previous stage bond with each other through a propoer vulcanization process. Specified heat and pressure is applied over a time to unvulcanized rubber so that the rubber is cured to the point of best physical properties and maximum adhesion to surrounding elements. The curing chambers of our company are as per individual requirements of various sizes of tyres upto a size of 50/80-57.

Final Inspection : The retreaded tyre is subjected to a final inspection. This inspection ensures that only tyres that meet quality standards are allowed to leave the retread plant.

What's unique & different in CIO

CIO Tyres Pvt. Ltd. is an industry leader in "Off the Road" Tyre Retreading and Repairing and has 61 years of experience in the field. We offer our dealers a variety of retread products and repair options that can be designed to fit virtually any customer need We are a specialist in retreading tyres of heavy earth moving equipment like dumpers which can carry loads varying from 40 tons to 180 tons and tyre sizes vary from 6 feet to 12 feet. These are expensive and the cost of a new tyre ranges from Rs.1 lakh to Rs.15 lakh. CIO Tyres repairs and retreads bias ply and radial OTR tyres using special moulds, with each mould designed to match the tyre size.

All the moulds and machineries are designed and developed inhouse itself.

High quality rubber compound of required size is rolled in our sister concern "Bihar Rubber Factory" thus ensuring no compromise in quality.

In additon to this CIO has a network of experienced and qualified Service Engineers spread over the operational fields to guide the customers in the term of any negligence or misuse, timely replacement before the costly casings are damaged, to maintain minimum
requirement of spare tyres, timely procurement of new tyres including priority delivery of retreaded tyres in case of emergency.
